Nexus Insidias takes the listener on a journey into the unsettling depths of the unconscious.
Founded by experimental multi-instrumentalist Robert Benaquista - also the mastermind behind experimental Dark Ambient project Cucurbitophobia - the music of Nexus Insidias draws from the raw energy, speed, atonality, abstract music theory, and sheer terror.
Nexus Insidias is influenced by the menacing heaviness of old school Thrash Metal, the musical intricacy of Progressive Metal, the dark and dissonant nature of Death Metal, and the syncopated, heavily rhythmic elements of Groove Metal.
Absent are trendy, tried and tired tropes of mainstream music within this nexus. Here, those who listen will experience chaos pulled together and cohesively thrust directly back with exponential force.
Nietzsche said “and if you gaze into the abyss, the abyss also gazes into you.” Nexus Insidias uses that axiom to deliver music designed to pull the listener out of mundane humdrum and into an abyss of sheer heaviness.
